Sayahh kids dental care locations offer a full array of basic and specialized dental services and treatments. We’re happy to get more in-depth about your child’s treatment and referrals on a case-by-case basis, as required. It all depends on what you and your child need, but we’ll figure out what’s best for your child once we’ve been properly introduced.
Preventative Care
The health of your child’s teeth and mouth is important to the well-being of their body. Educating you and your child on prevention and nutrition, helping to build lifelong oral health care skills and understanding the importance of oral health is our top priority. Our preventative services include:

Minimally Invasive Care
We practice conservative dental management and treatment planning. We are often asked if baby teeth need to be fixed? ‘Won’t they just fall out…?’ Well, of course they will… most of them anyway! (some baby teeth do not have adult teeth underneath them).
We are strong supporters of interceptive dental care as well – this means offering alternatives to repairing or restoring cavities in your child’s baby teeth. Often, procedures that slow down or stop the decay process may be an option for your child.
- Silver Diamine Fluoride – a safe and effective anti-bacterial remineralizing solution that can slow down or stop some cavities from growing.
- Caries control or glass ionomer ‘temporary fillings’ designed to be a less intrusive procedure that repair and maintains primary teeth, until it will fall out.
- Oral care and nutritional counselling, in conjunction with monitoring initial cavity areas in children.
Restorative Treatment and Care
No one is perfect and neither are our teeth. We use minimally invasive, conservative and customized treatment options for every child’s unique dental requirements. We’ll come up with the best solution for you and your child together.

Surgical and Sedation
In some cases, when reparative procedures are necessary, your child may not be able to tolerate in-office care. Options available are for a mild inhalant sedation, or in more extensive cases or behavioural needs, we are able to provide treatment while your child sleeps through the procedure.
- Treatment under general anaesthesia – after examination and consultation, we will schedule a surgical appointment at a certified general anesthetic facility.
- Light sedation – N2O (laughing gas), available in the dental office.
Orthodontics
Our pediatric dental specialists are trained in evaluating and understanding the timing and type of orthodontic needs of your child, depending on their stage of growth and development. We are able top provide some orthodontic services, while others will be referred to an orthodontic specialty office that we can recommend.

Special Care Dentistry
One of the most important parts of what we do is provide behaviour management for your child, which involves knowing exactly how to speak to children of all types to put them at ease in our chairs. This includes children with a variety of fears and uncertainties, as well as those who can benefit form a more specialized form of care, including but not inclusive to:

The dentists and members of our team at Sayahh kids dental care have over 25 years of experience in Calgary and area in pediatric dentistry. Our greatest effort and goal is in the prevention of dental problems, including cavities, infections, malocclusions and dental fear….We believe strongly in minimally invasive dentistry when applicable, which means we want to see your child as little as we can – not for our sakes but for theirs. We understand that going to the dentist can be scary and even traumatic for children (and grown-ups too) and we make it our mission to reduce their anxiety, and fear with every visit. We mainly do this by focusing on preventative care and education that keeps dental hygiene easily manageable and leaves kids able to avoid the not so fun parts of dentistry as much as possible. When it’s necessary, we use conservative treatment planning to be as mindful and least invasive to your child’s dental health.
Starting your child in their dental care experience from a young age, will help them become accustomed to the sites, sounds (and tastes!) of the dental office, and create a path for ongoing quality, and comfortable dental care throughout their lives.
